04 Oct 2024 Review meeting by SE, PHC - as the Hon. Minister of LSGD has instructed the completion of all works at the Kureepuzha STP site by the end of October 2024, with the planned inauguration on November 1, 2024 and remarked the importance & urgency in sticking on the completion time. Contractor to submit a detailed schedule for completion trial run and inauguration Electrical work to start within two days, and efforts should be made to complete it within three weeks. Arranging pre-inspection for electrical inspection compliance. Completing all remaining civil, piping, and electrical works by the set deadlines. Supplying and installing pending electromechanical items (e.g., septage tank agitator, chlorination system, rotary sludge dryer). Beautification works to be completed before the inauguration. 09 Sep 2024 o Overall Progress: 90% completion. o Pending Work: The key issue is the lack of connection between the sewer network and the STP, which is crucial for operationalizing the plant. This could delay commissioning by at least two years. o Design Modifications: Due to a pending court case, the location of the control unit building was shifted, requiring modifications to the design for speedy completion. o Sewer Network: Not yet connected, which is a major hurdle for plant commissioning. • Civil Works: o Completed: 33 out of 35 RCC structures/buildings are 90% completed. o Pending: ▪ Admin Building: 28% completion. ▪ Security Room: structure completed. ▪ RCC Works: 195 m³ of RCC works remain, including 2.5 m³ for the security room and 195 m³ for the admin building. • Electromechanical Works: o Supply: 22% of items pending delivery (7 out of 32 components). o Installation: 37.5% of installations pending (20 out of 24 supplied components). o Factory Inspections: 26 out of 27 inspections completed; however, six more inspections are pending.
