Due to COVID-19 less number of labours are employed for work. ****Package II******* 20% of progress for the work. 13.6 km 160 mm PVC 10kg/cm2 pipes supplied 1.65km 400 mm DI K9 pipes supplied. 360 m 600 mm DI K9 pipes re supplied. 18 May 2021 Package II: Discussions were held with PWD,EE in presence of Sri.N Vasavan regarding the progress of pipe laying works. EE,KWA mentioned about the delay in decision making regarding permission for road cutting on PWD roads. Delay in providing estimate for road restoration on PWD road long Sub-Jail road was also discussed.Despite the fact that site inspection is completed in December 2020,the estimate is pending from PWD side. EE,PWD assured to speedup the process.Also based on the discussion,it was decided that road restoration will be done by KWA by tendering the works without waiting for clearance from PWD. 14 May 2021 ***COVID 19** ** Due to lockdown restrictions and heavy rainfall,works at both sites is stopped.For Package I,for partial commissioning of 50 MLD WTP,connecting newly laid 1100mm DI K9 raw water pumping main with existing 600 mm DI K9 pumping min was planned and shutdown of 24 hours was requested with EE,P H section,Kottayam. However,due to wide spread of COVID 19 and considering criticality of situation,many are being advised Home Quarantine and also water supply to critical areas like Government hopital,collectorate,qurantine centres etc will be affetcted by this shutdown.Hence,interconnection works is postponed. *** Around 140 labours were working at the WTP site,however due to spread of Covid 19 at site,labours are send back and advised to observe isolation. 17 Apr 2021 *****Package I***************** 80% completion for the package.Current status of components are as folows: 1)Aerator-Structural works completed 96%. Finishing works in progress. 2)Raw water channel till flash mixer structural works completed.Flash mixer 90% civil works completed.Distribution chambers works is about to start. 3)Bypass channel structural works in progress 4)Clariflocculator-2-structural works completed.Elactromechanical works 90% completed.Railing for clarifier bridge to be done. 5)Filter house-structural works are completed.Finishing and electrical works in progress. 6)Control chamber for pipe gallery works in progress. 7)Electra-mechanical erection works inside filter house is progressing. 8)Yard leveling works are ongoing and drainage collection chamber civil works in progress. 9)6 pole HT structure erected at site.Transformer erection and pump set erection works in progress. *********Package II******************* 2 nos 75 HP pumpsets re supplied.Erection works is about to start.
