KSEB gave NOC/ permissive sanction for construction of weir in July 2023. Agreement pending from dam safety due to further clarification regarding the NOC since the work is under KIIFB, but NOC is under JJM. A letter has been sent to the contractor to restart the work at Thonithady. Time extension has given upto 5.6.2024. The work will start once the weather become favourable for weir construction..
