Scope of work includes replacing the old AC pipes with 160mm PVC pipe. A total length of 24992m was supplied by the contractor. 150mm GI pipes and 300mm DI pipe not supplied by the contractor. About 19.3 km 160mm PVC laid out of 25km. Laying work progress is slow in Town. Given directions to the contractor to make the necessary arrangements to speed up the work. Though repeated instruction given to contractor, he is not willing to complete the work and hence Executive Engineer & Superintendent Engineer gave letter to the contractor for completing the work immediately or else will complete the work in his risk & cost. Work terminated as per proceedings of the Superintending Engineer's office. Due to urgency of arranging work in Ottapalam Municipality, work arranged at the risk & cost of original contractor. Pending works in Ottapalam Town needed to be arranged urgently as two reaches. Laying work of two reaches in Ottapalam Town completed under the risk and cost of the previous contractor. TS for unexecuted work issued.Work tendered last date 29/01/2024 opening date 30/01/2024 |
